Les Darons, Jeff Carrel 2022 – Languedoc

Les Darons, Jeff Carrel 2022 – Languedoc

The nose is aromatic in its fruit and offers a racy side. There are notes of blackberry, ripe wild red berries associated with touches of dry local grove as well as slight hints of grey pepper, sage and a subtle hint of olive tree and an almost imperceptible hint of orange zest. The mouth is fruity, frank and offers juiciness, suavity, tension, energy, a beautiful freshness and minerality, aciduly as well as a certain straightness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy/ pulpy cherry, creamy purple plum and small notes of bright red berries associated with touches of chocolate, sweet blond tabaco and toasted almond and a subtle Mediterranean hint (aromatic herbes, grove, olive tree). Good length. A very discreet varietal hint on the persistence/aftertaste.
