Les Champs Libres 2022 – Bordeaux Blanc

Les Champs Libres 2022 – Bordeaux Blanc

The nose is beautifully built, ample, with a beautiful mineral, almost granitic touch. It reveals notes of kumquat, pulpy yellow peach and small notes of fresh mirabelle plum associated with an aromatic reminiscent of tannin, almost toasted and fresh as well as fine smoky hints, a discreet touch of spices and a subtle hint of verbena. The palate is elegant, supple, fresh and mineral, with a lovely tangy frame, energy and an electric side. It expresses notes of kumquat, ripe and juicy lemon, ripe pink grapefruit and slightly bright white peach associated with touches of verbena, toasted hazelnut and a lovely aromatic brought by the fat on lees. The whole is nicely carried out, elegant and gourmet, with fine hints of quenette. The wine has a certain aromatic power in the background, with a nice chewiness, a nice sapidity and an iodized touch. The finish offers a good length and definition, with an elegance and a finesse in the fat, while remaining aromatic and juicy. A discreet hint of verbena and sap is revealed in the background, accompanied by an iodized note. The wine is precise, straight, with a nice persistence and a good tangy side which highlights the brilliance of the fruit.
