The nose is fruity and offers some concentration, airiness and a fine richness. There are notes of pulpy/juicy boysenberry, raspberry and a bit of violet combined with hints of bright blueberry, cherry as well as a touch of lilac, liquorice stick, a discreet hint of sweet spice and a subtle touch of nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a contained side, smoothness, freshness, a little minerality, a mineral backbone and a fine tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/acidic redcurrant and, more slightly, lilac, combined with small touches of juicy black fruit, a hint of pepper, discreet peony tips and a very discreet hint of sweet spices.
