L’Enclos de Viaud 2020 – Lalande-de-Pomerol 

The nose is fruity, fresh, discreetly tight and offers a certain intensity. It reveals notes of ripe/pulpy wild cassis, strawberry, small notes of small bright red berries associated with touches of liquorish, star anis, minerality and fine hints of sweet spices. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, freshness, a certain gourmandize, an acidulous frame as well as a small tension, suavity and a nice freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy cassis, bright blackberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of bright raspberry, small fresh/bright red currants as well as fine hits of lily, liquorish as well as hints of nutmeg and a discreet hint of sweet spices. The tannins are precise and elegant.
