L’Eclat de Valois 2020 – Pomerol

L’Eclat de Valois 2020 – Pomerol

The nose has power and a certain harmony. We perceive an elegant, velvety and finely tight grain. There are notes of cooked blackberries, roasted berries with a certain freshness, star anise and small notes of violet, lily as well as a fine hint of pepper. The palate is fruity with a mineral structure and freshness. There is tension and some fatiness that accompany notes of quite ripe blackberries, cooked blackcurrants and small notes of roasted raspberries associated with touches of violet, lily and cardamom. There is also a hint of camphor as well as fine notes of graphite, mocha and a subtle hint of toast. We perceive a certain blackness and some brightness in the mouth. The tannins are supple and have a soft finish.
