On the nose, fresh, elegant, beautiful opulence yet delicate. Ripe wild blackcurrant, bright blackberry and slightly crushed currant notes are combined with hints of crushed strawberry, Morello cherry as well as hints of wet stone, incense, nutmeg, vanilla and a discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco. On the palate, fruity, a little tight and offers juiciness, smoothness, nice definition, a certain gourmandize, an acidic frame, tension and an airy side yet balanced. The wine expresses notes of bright black plum, ripe black currant and subtle notes of small blackberries associated with touches of bright currant, lily, violet, cardamom as well as hints of black pepper and cocoa/mocha. Good length. The tannins are precise and relatively soft and creamy.
