The wine shows a medium ruby colour with a brightening rim. The nose is intense and floral, revealing notes of sour cherries, roses, dried rose petals, a touch of fried herbs and a hint of iron. The palate is juicy and ample, showing volume and roundness. The tannins are slightly drying but smooth and voluptuous. The palate blends notes of sour red berries with nuances of Mediterranean broom, hints of ferrous soil and spices. The finish is a bit drying with a pleasant kiss of oak and a nice freshness.
