Le Sarget de Gruaud Larose 2024 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, fresh, spicy and offers good definition, an infusion side of freshness and a gravelly/terroir side. There are notes of boysenberry, Sichuan pepper and small notes of violet, associated with a touch of racy minerality, as well as hints of cinnamon, small fairly ripe red fruits and discreet hints of toasted. The palate is well-built, fruity and offers freshness, pulpiness, fleshiness, a tangy frame and energy. Mellowness on the mid-palate. This wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, violet and small notes of small fresh red fruits, combined with touches of brilliant strawberry, hints of chocolate, toasted, as well as fine hints of vanilla (in the background) and a fine floral hint (in the background, stretching out the tasting). The tannins are creamy, fresh and gourmand. Fine chewiness and gourmandise on the finish/persistence. Good sapid persistence.
