The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers aromatic breadth, a lovely creaminess in control/finesse, a textured side as well as depth. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, creamy cassis and small notes of explosive blue berries associated with touches of lily, pepper, hints of nutmeg as well as a discreet hint of infusion, roasted berries and zan. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, balanced and offers a fresh/acidulous frame, tension, accuracy, power, creaminess (all in accuracy) as well as an airy side in its concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of roasted-juicy cherry, pulpy cassis and small notes of bright blueberry associated with touches of cornflower, star anise as well as fine hints of caramelization, toast as well as a subtle hint of Bourbon vanilla, crushed hazelnut and an imperceptible hint almost orange peel (in the background). The tannins are soft. Good length. Nice softness and sapidity on the finish/persistence.
