The nose is fruity in elegance with a nice delicacy and a nice silky richness. We perceive concentration in balance, a fine creaminess and a nice fine grain. There are notes of creamy boysenberries, quite ripe but fresh wild black berries and small notes of crushed strawberries associated with touches of cornflower, sweet spices and as well as delicate hints of star anise and a subtle note of rose or even geranium and pepper. A subtle hint almost toasted or even powdery appears. It’s a complex nose. The palate is fresh with a tangy structure and minerality. There is accuracy, energy and a nice definition that accompanies tension and power with delicacy. This wine has a certain creaminess coupled with a perfectly balanced airiness. The freshness allows notes of crushed raspberries as well as hints of chocolate, fresh violets and a subtle hint of mint and cocoa in the very discreet background to express themselves. The tannins are supple, gormand and stretched. There is a nice texture and a nice softness on the lingering finish. Gradually a very discreet almost toasted note or even toasted hazelnuts in the background appears.
