The nose is fruity and coating and offers brillance, a certain controlled power, a nice harmony as well as a fine, powerful and finely tight grain. There are notes of cherry, bright morello cherry, violet and slight hints of bright plum associated with touches of small red fruits as well as hints of star anise, bergamot, fine hints of graphite and discreet hints of pepper/tobacco. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers a nice juiciness, gourmandise, a tangy frame, freshness, a nice minerality, a certain fattiness as well as accuracy. All in finesse and mastery. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright morello cherry, juicy/pulpy blackberry and slight notes of cornflower associated with touches of raspberry, bright red plum as well as slight hints of tobacco and cardamom. Energy and clarity. The tannins are racy.
