On the nose, elegant, offering richness (excellence), power (in accuracy), a nice definition (all in excellence/elegance) as well as a certain depth and a discreet tightness. Notes of bright cherry, bright strawberry and slightly pulpy boysenberry associated with small touches of small red fruits, small blue fruits, graphite, racy minerality as well as discreet hints of cherry blossom, saffron, licorice and a subtle touch of roasted hazelnut. The palate is almost finely restrained and offers a nice freshness, definition, sweetness and suavity as well as a nice definition, tangy frame, pulpiness and brightness/airiness. The wine expresses bright blackberry, redcurrant and more lightly cherry notes combined with hints of cherry blossom, lily, racy minerality as well as fine hints of star anise, camphor, a discreet hint of tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of eucalyptus/orange peel (in the background). Good length. The tannins are precise and polished. Nice sapidity at the end of the palate.
