Le Petit Lion 2018 – Saint-Julien

The nose is fruity, well-built and offers a fine richness, gourmandise as well as a fine juiciness. It reveals notes of cassis, fleshy raspberry and small notes of fleshy / crushed strawberry associated with fine touches of tonka bean, toasted almond as well as discreet hints of sweet spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, juicy, well-balanced and offers a good definition, tension as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy strawberry and small notes of juicy fleshy raspberry associated with fine touches of small fleshy / juicy red berries, flowers, discreet hints of spices as well as slight hints of chocolate and vanilla. Tannins are elegant and slightly firm. Fine chews on the finish. Good length.
