The nose is fruity and offers a racy minerality, a fine grain, power, a fine intensity as well as a fine deepness. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and small notes of wild strawberry associated with a hint of ripe cherry, graphite, black pepper as well as hints of vanilla and star anise (badiane) / cardamon. The mouth is fresh, juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition / verticality, tension, an acidulous frame, suavity as well as gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, ripe blackberry and small notes of fleshy strawberry combined with a hint of juicy purple plum and very slight hints of violet, tonka bean / cocoa and discreet hints of sweet spices. Tannins are elegant, structuring and well-built.
