The nose is fruity and reveals concentration, accuracy and a nice definition/gourmandise. There are notes of bright wild blackcurrant, violet plum and slightly morello cherry combined with hints of chocolate, camphor as well as hints of sweet spices, a very discreet hint of black tea and a touch of black pepper. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, good definition, juiciness, acidity, tension and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, blackcurrant and slightly purple plum notes with hints of red berries, fine hints of fresh/acidic Morello cherry and fine hints of dark chocolate, caramelised/crushed almond and fine hints of vanilla. The tannins are precise, elegant and sapid.
