The nose is very finely tight and offers intensity, a fine grain and power. It reveals notes of bright wild cassis, small ripe black berries, small notes of crushed strawberry associated with fine touches of sense of the place/terroir, violet/lily, Sichuan pepper as well as hints of fresh tobacco, tonka bean and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, suavity, gourmandize as well as a good definition and a pulpy/ripe fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, juicy blackberry, small notes of violet associated with touches of juicy/fleshy strawberry, small crushed blue fruits as well as hints of cardamom, tea, toasted and vanilla. Tannins are well-built, elegant, racy and structuring. Good persistence.
