The nose reveals elegance, volume, concentration and intensity. There are notes of graphite, morello cherry and fleshy blackcurrant combined with hints of camphor, racy minerality, fine hints of nutmeg, caramelisation, fine hints of cola, crushed strawberry and a subtle hint of fresh nutmeg. The palate is fruity and shows juiciness, elegance, gourmandize, velvety texture, a fine airy side, substance, volume and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, boysenberry and, more lightly, crushed raspberry, combined with touches of camphor, tonka bean, liquorice, fine colas, black tea, a subtle hint of cornflower, and fine hints of fresh blond tobacco. The tannins are precise, mellow and well managed. A nice work on the press wine.
