The nose is fruity, racy and offers freshness and intensity. There are notes of racy minerality, pulpy blackberry, fresh black berries and more slightly violet flowers combined with a fine touch of morello cherry, crushed wild strawberry, star anise and a subtle almost iodine and spice touch. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers good definition, some fat and a fresh frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, raspberry and, more slightly, pulpy/creamy cherry combined with hints of violet, racy minerality, fine hints of tonka bean, star anise, a subtle hint of graphite, sap and a subtle hint of toastiness and pepper. The tannins are well-managed and sapid. A fine hint of dark chocolate on the finish.
