Le Filigare Lorenzo 2021 – Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

(organic) The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color with slight purple highlights. The nose is precise, with tension and tangy fruit, as well as toasted and sappy notes. Notes of juicy red cherry, cranberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and crushed blueberry are found, along with fresh wood, pine sap, toasted almond and dark chocolate with mint, as well as spices (liquorice, cardamom, tonka bean, nutmeg), rose, peony and wild mint. The palate is tight, tangy and bitter, with grippy, dry tannins. The attack expresses notes of cranberry, red cherry and blackcurrant, combined with bitter hints of coffee, bergamot and almond, as well as blackcurrant leaf and wild mint. Flavors of liquorice, nutmeg, and pine sap are also present in the background. The finish is medium-length, tight, and tangy, with a good bergamot bitterness and a mouthwatering acidity.
