The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity, with light garnet reflections. The nose is aromatic and expresses distinct tertiary notes at the beginning (undergrowth, dried tobacco, dry tea leaf, mushrooms and wet leaves/dried flowers in the background). We then find some minerality (wet stone), spiciness (grated nutmeg, ground cumin, cloves) and floral notes (dried rose, dried fly). The fruits on the nose are mainly dried (dried strawberry, dried red cherry, dried blackcurrant), but we also see notes of roastedred cherry, wild plum and fresh wild blackberry, with a hint of morello cherry in the background. The palate is refined and complex, enveloping and structured. It expresses more fresh fruity notes (ripemorello cherry, strawberry, bird cherry), complemented by notes of dried blackcurrant, dried red cherry and dried raspberry, by a tasty framework of sweet spices (ground cumin, cloves, a touch of cinnamon and cocoa), and a floral bouquet (dried rose, dried violet). The tannins have a fine grain, but also power and structure. Beautiful acidity and good persistence, which reveals some tertiary notes (tea leaf, tobacco, undergrowth).
