Le Clos du Beau-Père 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity and offers a small juiciness as well as concentration. It reveals notes of Boysen berry and juicy/crunchy raspberry associated with small touches of fresh cassis as well as fine hints of fresh flowers, cardamom, spices and fresh nutmeg. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, gourmandize, tension, precision as well as a small straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy cassis, fleshy/juicy strawberry and small notes of fleshy/juicy blueberry associated with fine touches of liquorice, toasted, chocolate as well as fine hints of flowers (violet, cornflower) and sweet spices. Tannins are well-built.
