The nose is fruity and reveals a certain gourmandize, smoothness and fine concentration. There are notes of bright raspberry, pulpy/ripe cherry and more lightly violet combined with hints of violet, ripe blackberry, hints of blueberry, camphor and a discreet hint of bourbon vanilla/sweet spice. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, pulpiness, gourmandize, a nice velvety texture, a certain mastery of finesse, an acidic backbone and freshness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and, more lightly, crunchy/fresh red berries, combined with hints of violet, strawberry, as well as camphor, fine peppery notes, a discreet hint of varietal and a subtle touch of vanilla/chocolate. Good length. The tannins are mellow. Good work on the good bitter taste on the finish/persistence.
