Laubade, Gascogna – Les Curiosité de Laubade 2009 – Bas-Armagnac

The nose is fruity, powerful and offers a certain suavity/sweetness as well as a fine deepness. It reveals notes of candied orange, dried zest and small notes of dried lemon associated with fine touches of cedar, rosewood as well as hints of potpourri, dried violet, pepper and slight hints of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, fat, a good definition, gourmandize, a fine richness, fine grain, a fine unctuosity as well as a slight acidulous frame. On the palate, this Armagnac expresses notes of fresh marmalade, fresh Mirabelle plum and small notes of dried lemon associated with very slight hints of dried grapes, dried flowers, very discreet hints of caramelization, almond, cedar as well as a subtle hint of dried tobacco and gray pepper. Good length.
