Laffitte 1995 – Bas-Armagnac

The nose is fruity, mineral and offers a fine and racy grain. There are notes of zest, quince and small notes of sweet pepper associated with touches of rancio as well as fine hints of fresh leather, camphor, smoke and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy structure, minerality as well as a certain tension. On the palate this Armagnac expresses notes of fresh leather, baked apple and small notes of crushed mirabelle plum associated with touches of marmalade, rancio as well as fine hints of dry tobacco and light oak. Good length. A slight sweetness in the background. A stretched character.
