Labouré-Roi Côte de Nuits-Villages 2023 – Côte de Nuits-Villages

The wine has a bright ruby color, of medium intensity. The first nose is savory and spicy, it opens with notes of white pepper, nutmeg, liquorice and vanilla in the background. We then find notes of morello cherry, raspberry, red cherry, as well as a hint of red plum and blackcurrant, a toasted, sappy and floral touch (cornflower, a hint of faded peony). The palate is juicy, tangy and fresh. It expresses notes of sour red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry and cranberries in the background, associated with sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg, white pepper), a herbaceous hint of dried blackcurrant leaf and rose stem, as well as toast and bitter cocoa in the background. Tannins are structured, sapid and chocolatey, with a fine grain. The finish is gourmet and fresh, with a good bitterness, a refreshing acidity and a chocolatey persistence.
