La Tour de By – Héritage 2015 Marc Pagès – Médoc

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a fine juiciness as well as a (very) slight complexity. The wine needs to be put in carafe. It reveals notes of cassis, black cherry, violet and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with touches of gravels, graphite, toasted touches as well as subtle hints of sweet spices and very discreet hints of licorice. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, a small concentration, finesse, tension, gourmandise, precision as well as a slight straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, cherry and raspberry combined with fine touches of ripe red berries, cassis as well as hints of liquorice, graphite / gravels, subtle hints of chocolate, caramelized oak, vanilla Bourbon and a very discreet iodine hint (in the background / on the finish). Tannins are fine and already offers suppleness. Good length. (Very) fine suavity and chew on the finish.
