The wine offers a brilliant ruby color. The nose offers a nice concentration, even a slight sweetness of ripe red and black fruits. It expresses notes of fresh morello cherry, wild blackberry, roasted red cherry, fresh raspberry, raspberry coulis, as well as a hint of blueberry jam. The second nose reveals aromas of menthol, sweet spices (licorice, ground cloves, a slight touch of nutmeg and white pepper), fresh thyme, as well as cornflower, violet, dried herbs, crushed tomato leaf (in the background)and a slight chalky mineral note. On the palate, the wine is straight, chiseled and offers an opened attack, as well as melted and delicate tannins, with a very slight bitterness. The flavors are juicy and bright. We find notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, raspberry and blueberry, as well as abitter touch of cranberries, delicate spicy notes (white pepper, clove, cumin), floral (violet) and herbs (tomato leaf, thyme). The finish is savory, with red fruits (you can smell ripe red cherries in particular). Beautiful refreshing acidity, but integrated and supple at the same time. A balanced and delicious wine.
