La Sirène de Giscours 2024 – Margaux

(52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot) The nose is elegant, fresh, airy, frank, spicy, melodious as well as beautifully intense and voluptuous. There are notes of boysenberry, wild strawberry and small notes of violet, associated with touches of lilac, cornflower, a hint of crushed strawberry, as well as fine hints of tonka bean, graphene, smoke and toasted hazelnut. The palate is well-built, juicy, fruity and offers freshness, energy, delicacy and brilliance/purity of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, bright violet plum and small notes of juicy/fresh Bigarreau cherry, combined with touches of small brilliant red fruits, violet, lilac, as well as hints of tobacco, nutmeg and fine hints of infusion. A little elegant darkness. The tannins are sappy, even finely chalky.  A subtle hint of roasted in the background.
