The nose is textured and enveloping. It expresses notes of liquorice, toasted, caramel and dark chocolate which dominate after aeration (refreshed by a touch of menthol). We also find notes of cedar, fresh tobacco, bay leaf, thyme, rosemary, enveloped in fruity notes of dry cherry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, black plum. The palate expresses flavors of morello cherry, blackcurrant, black plum, crushed blackberry, wild strawberry and chocolate morello cherry, combined with herbaceous touches (thyme, bay leaf) and roasted notes (coffee, caramel, toasted hazelnut). The finish is very long, sapid and gourmand, with notes of chocolate, liquorice, dry menthol and a good bitterness of coffee and cocoa. At the very end of the palate, we also find notes of rose and violet. A harmonious, fresh and flavorful wine. The tannins are very silky.
