The wine has a pale ruby color. The first nose offers a racy minerality (dry stone, graphite), as well as tertiary notes of wet leaves, a hint of mushrooms and tobacco. After aeration, we feel the gourmet and fresh fruity notes (morello cherry, red cherry, wild raspberry, crushed strawberry), as well as menthol aromas of liquorice (with a touch of star anise), grated nutmeg, wild mint and cocoa nibs in the background. The palate is juicy, tangy and fruity. It first expresses the flavors of red cherry, juicy morello cherry, cranberries, strawberry and tangy raspberry, with a fragrant touch of fresh rose and peony in the background. On the mid-palate, we find a pleasant mineral framework of graphite, a herbaceous touch (wild mint, a hint of infused tea), as well as liquorice, nutmeg and cocoa nibs. The tannins are polished, but solid. Good tangy persistence, but fruity and gourmand.
