The nose is concentrated, finely powerful and offers a very fine richness in the background. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and crushed ripe strawberries combined with subtle hints of mocha, pepper and grilled wood. The wine needs to be decanted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a nice acid frame, minerality, a good definition, a fine juiciness, a fine fat, a good structure as well as a good grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy cassis and small notes of cherry associated with a hint of fleshy sour cherry/blackberry, toasted oak, mocha as well as a discreet hint of pepper and cardamom. Tannins are well-built and velvety. Good length and good persistence. There are a hint of cocoa bean and an imperceptible touch of caramelization on the aftertaste.
