The nose is fruity, gourmet and offers a nice intensity in its fruit. There are notes of bright cherry, crushed red currant and more slightly lilac/fresh flowers combined with hints of blue forest berries, bright blackcurrant as well as hints of nutmeg, star anise and a very discreet touch of pepper. The palate is nicely fresh, mineral, balanced and offers a fresh/juicy structure, good definition, nice energy and some stretch. On the palate this wine expresses bright cherry, crushed currant and more slightly crunchy purple plum notes combined with hints of blueberry, star anise, bright wild strawberry as well as subtle hints of lilac, nutmeg, toastiness and a discreet hint of vanilla/hazelnut toast. The tannins are finely mellow. Very nice freshness, acidity and good volume.
