The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers tension, accuracy and a beautiful aromatic concentration. It expresses notes of ripe red cherry, juicy morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant (even crème de cassis), as well as raspberry jam and crushed blackberry. After aeration, it also expresses aromas of liquorice (with a hint of star anise), white pepper, nutmeg, as well as dried mint (even menthol) and dried pine needles, associated with touches of toasted hazelnut (in the background), heated wood and cocoa. Delicate hints of fresh black fig and violet are revealed after aeration. The palate offers density and concentration, as well as touches of roasted red fruits, but all in delicacy and freshness. It expresses the flavors of juicy morellocherry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed blackberry, crushed blackcurrant (with a hint of blackcurrant jam), as well as cocoa, chocolate morello cherry, toasted hazelnut and toasted wood in the background. The mid-palate expresses spicy notes of liquorice, nutmeg and cumin, as well as touches of dried mint, pine needles in the background and tangy fruits (fresh blackcurrant, a hint of cranberries) that bring freshness. The finish offers a beautiful salivating acidity and tangy flavors of blackcurrant and red cherry. Good persistence, the tannins are integrated and enveloped, but perceptible and offer a solid, but elegant structure.
