The nose is floral and fruity, with a certain concentration and depth on fresh red fruits. It reveals notes of pulpy cherry, violet, and more lightly pulpy/juicy cassis, associated with fine hints of rose, small wild red berries, red pepper and a touch of wild pepper, île de ré. The palate is well-built, supple, juicy, fruity, with minerality, suavity, a melodious side, a tangy frame and harmony. It expresses a slightly coating, pulpy side to the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy red cherry, violet and, more lightly, pulpy/juicy blue fruits, combined with touches of cornflower as well as hints of sweet blond tobacco, nutmeg and vanilla. Good length. Elegant, mellow and precise tannins. A nice little chewiness on the finish/persistence, with freshness and fine unctuosity. In the background, a hint of chocolate, a touch of toasted almond, and a floral on the finish/persistence.
