La Chapelle de Château L’Annonciation 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is nicely centered on the fruit, with freshness, a certain darkness and a fine depth. It reveals notes of black cherry, blueberry and, more slightly, creamy blackberry, associated with small toasted touches and a hint of vanilla. The palate is nicely fresh, juicy, offering brightness and delicacy, a tangy frame, energy and a little chiseled side. It expresses notes of juicy blueberry, creamy raspberry and, more slightly, crushed blackcurrant, associated with touches of liquorice stick, lilac, nutmeg, as well as a hint of vanilla, cardamom and toasted hazelnut. Tannins are mellow, with a little chew on the finish and a nice persistence.
