(10-11%) This Umeshu has a beautiful golden color with shine and clarity. The nose is fresh and discreet with notes of dried apricot, almond blossom and almond paste. There is a very light, pleasant vegetal aspect as well. With aeration, the nose changes. There is an umami that arrives with fine touches of peach skin but also of grain. The palate is fresh with nice acidity. We still have these notes of grain but also of salted plum. The palate is precisely interesting with this sweet and salty side which persists in the mid-palate until the finish. It’s light, discreet. The tasting has a soft texture. There is a balance between fruit and alcohol. We have a sensation of minty freshness and a finish of apricot kernel but also of apricot blossom.
