The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is perfumed, dense and textured. First, there are herbaceous notes – dry pine needles, wild mint, hay, pine sap, combined with tertiary aromas of dry fallen leaves, tobacco, dried rose. Then, the nose expresses a fine floral bouquet (lily, wisteria, a hint of violet) and a tangy fruity material (bigarreaux cherry, blueberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant, cranberries, raspberry) and a delicate spiciness (liquorice, cardamom, nutmeg). The palate is straight, precise and firm. The tannins are solid and structured, gripping in the mid-palate, but with a fine texture. We find the flavors of bigarreaux cherry, morello cherry, bird cherry, cranberry, raspberry and blackcurrant, associated with a herbaceous and sappy side (peppermint, fresh tobacco, pine needles, hay, pine sap), spicy touches (licorice, cardamom, white pepper), as well as a delicate tertiary touch of tobacco, dried rose and undergrowth. The finish is persistent, sapid, – we find a toasted touch (hazelnut) and a cocoa hint of the tannins. Beautiful salivating acidity, which balances the firmness of the tannins. Beautiful solid structure and concentrated fruitiness.
