Joseph Mellot, La Chatellenie 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose expresses the typical aromas of Sauvignon Blanc on the flint terroir: lively and precise notes of yellow lemon, lime, citrus zest, a smoky and chalky mineral touch, combined with notes of green apple, gooseberries and white flowers (lime, apple blossoms). The palate offers a beautiful intensity of flavors and a lively and salivating acidic frame. We find notes of green apple, yellow lemon, gooseberries, yellow peach and apricot, as well as a limestone and smoky mineral frame and a floral bouquet (apple blossoms, acacia). Good persistence on the palate, gourmand and slightly bitter (grapefruit).
