Joël et Sylvie Cirotte, Domaine de la Croix St-Laurent 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is fragrant and fruity. It expresses pronounced notes of gooseberries and passion fruit (which dominate the first nose), associated with notes of lime, yellow lemon, green apple, a discreet touch of green bean, as well as white flowers (linden, honeysuckle) and a touch of limestone. On the palate, the attack is straight, chiselled and tangy. It expresses the flavors of gooseberries, passion fruit, green apple, tart green plum, as well as green beans in the background, limestone and lime. The finish is quite persistent, offers sharp acidity, a grassy side and a tangy and slightly bitter touch of grapefruit.
