The nose is fruity, mineral, fresh and relatively incisive. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and fine hints of black berries combined with a discreet touch of lavender, black olive as well as a hint of liquorice (discreet), wood, cedar wood and fine touches of dark chocolate. The palate is fruity, mineral, relatively fleshy and offers juiciness, precision, a big freshness and a silky matter. The wine needs time to open. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and touches of blueberry associated with hints of Quetsche plum, fleshy wild strawberry, a hint of raspberry jam as well as touches of toasted oak and licorice chocolate. Tannins are fine and young. Good length and good persistence with notes of chocolate and fleshy black fruit. The finish is suave and reveals (very) slight notes of hazelnut on the aftertaste.
