The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is concentrated, racy, precise, juicy and offers a slight roasted and macerated hint. It expresses notes of dried red cherry, roasted morello cherry, fresh morello cherry, crushed wild strawberry, blackcurrant, as well as black plum. There are also touches of pine needles, liquorice, a hint of nutmeg and white pepper, associated with floral notes (dried cornflower, dried rose), as well as a very slight sappy touch in the background. The palate is frank, straight and chiseled – it expresses notes of tangy fruits with a slight tannic hint (bird cherry, cranberries), juicy morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, raspberry, as well as a slight spicy touch (liquorice, nutmeg), herbaceous (ripe stalk, dried pine needles, a hint of tobacco), floral (dried rose, violet), as well as a hint of roasted red cherry and crushed black grape. The tannins are structured and solid, slightly grippy on the finish. The persistence is sapid, tangy and tannic (on the flavor of bird cherry). Concentration, accuracy and good structure.
