Jean-Max Roger Cuvée « Genèse » 2023 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is expressive, with notes of tangy exotic fruits (passion fruit, kiwi), gooseberry, as well as gourmet touches of candied lemon peel, fresh orange, apple blossom and acacia, combined with a limestone and saline mineral touch. The palate offers tension, a limestone mineral framework, slightly smoky and dry on the attack, juiciness and gourmandise of fruit in the mid-palate. We find notes of grated lemon zest, lime, passion fruit, gooseberry and green apple, combined with notes of acacia and apple blossom. The finish is quite persistent, tangy and lemony. Straightness and accuracy in the mouth.
