The wine has a pale ruby color, with very slight garnet reflections. The nose is perfumed, textured and complex. It initially expresses distinct but delicate tertiary notes of dry leaves, forest floor and tobacco, then complemented by aromas of roasted red cherry, juicy morello cherry, crushed cassis and dried cranberries, as well as a racy minerality (dry limestone, rock, dry stone), a savoury spicy and toasted hint (clove, crushed coriander seeds, toasted hazelnut, a bitter hint of coffee), as well as a herbaceous touch of hay, tea leaf and dried cassis leaf. The palate is gourmand, enveloping, with a beautiful juiciness of fresh fruit and complexity. It expresses the flavors of blackcurrant, roasted red cherry, morello cherry, dried cranberries and blackberry, associated with tertiary notes less perceptible than on the nose (forest floor, tobacco), a touch of roasting (toasted hazelnut in the background, coffee), a racy minerality (limestone, dry stone), dried rose and sweet spices (nutmeg, crushed coriander seeds). The tannins are powdery, fine, slightly cocoa-flavored. Good persistence, with a lively and salivating acidity, as well as a good bitterness of cranberries. The juiciness of the fruits and the minerality persist on the palate.
