The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose opens with a racy, chalky and slightly smoky minerality. Then, it expresses juicy and tangy notes of quetsche plum, bigarreau cherry, morello cherry, strawberry, crushed blackcurrant and goji berries, as well as liquorice, grated nutmeg, a light touch of vanilla, roasting (toasted almond), mint in the background, violet and lily. The palate offers gourmandise, freshness and juicy fruits. It expresses notes of blackcurrant, bigarreau cherry, black plum, crushed raspberry, cranberries and morello cherry in the background, associated with touches of liquorice, nutmeg, mint, a racy minerality (limestone, smoke in the background), a fine floral bouquet (lily, violet), as well as a toasted and slightly bitter hint. The tannins are finely tight and well constructed. The finish is persistent, tangy, sapid and fresh, with a chalky hint on the persistence.
