Jean-Etienne Chermette, Moulin-à-Vent Rochegrès 2020 – Moulin-à-Vent

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fruity and gourmand, with a certain complexity in notes of stewed and roasted fruits, roasted herbs and sweet spices. It expresses the aromas of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, stewed morello cherry, crushed strawberry, dried raspberry and red plum, combined with aromas of roasted bouquet garni, liquorice, cumin, white pepper, dried rose, violet, tobacco and heated wood in the background (even with a resinous touch of sap). The palate expresses juiciness, airiness and fluidity (in a good way). The attack is fruity and round, with a beautiful freshness, which develops towards a salivating acidity; We find the flavors of stewed red cherry, fresh morello cherry, crushed raspberry, strawberry and red plum, associated with spicy notes of nutmeg, liquorice, white pepper, as well as a floral bouquet (rose dried, violet) and a touch of torrefaction (toasted hazelnut, heated wood). The tannins are fine, well structured. Beautiful freshness, length and sapidity on the finish. An airy and refined wine.
