Jean-Baptite FAU – Métairie d’Est 2022 – AOP Limoux

Jean-Baptite FAU – Métairie d’Est 2022 – AOP Limoux

The nose is fruity, juicy and offers a good definition as well as deepness. The wine needs to be decanted. We find notes of fresh white peach, fresh lychee and small notes of fresh kumquat associated with almost fresh aniseed touches as well as hints of fresh apricot and a discreet hint of verbena. The palate is well-built, supple, juicy, precise and offers suppleness, tension, a certain gourmandise as well as a beautiful energy and relief. A fine vinous/almost macerated side. In mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy yellow peach, juicy/acidulous mirabelle plum, and small notes of white redcurrant associated with touches of kumquat as well as fine hints of dry zests, discreet saline/iodine hints and an almost sage/sense of the place (local biotop) hint. Good length. Good definition and structure.
