Jean-Baptiste Fau – Métairie d’Est 2020 – Limoux

Beautifil and aromatic nose which offers complexity, a nice definition, deepness as well as a multi-layered side. There are notes of quince, small yellow fruits and small notes of sap associated with touches of fresh toast as well as fine hints of olive tree, acidulous mirabelle plum, yellow pear and a hint of brioche. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, gourmand and offers roundness, a tangy structure, precision suppleness, energy, purity, a fine complexity as well as a beautiful definition. Brightness of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quince, pulpy/juicy yellow peach and small notes of quite ripe citrus fruits associated with fine touches of pineapple, smoke, fine hints of lemon, a fine hint of olive tree as well as discreet hints of toasted almond and toast. Gourmandise and sapidity. Good length. A subtle tannic hint.
