Jean-Baptaiste Jessiaume Givry 2022 – Givry

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is aromatic and gourmand. It expresses notes of juicy fruits (strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, a hint of red plum), complemented by a fresh herbal touch (wild mint, blackcurrant bud in the background), delicate spicy notes (liquorice, a hint of sweet pepper), as well as very light touches of roasting (toasted hazelnut, heated wood in the background). After aeration, we also find a subtle aroma of violet. The palate is fruity and gourmand, fresh and tangy. On the attack, it expresses notes of crunchy strawberry, red cherry, raspberry, cranberries, which are complemented in the mid-palate by spicy touches (liquorice, sweet pepper), a hint of toast and flowers (dried rose, violet). Tannins are velvety and powdery, very present but not dry. The finish is quite persistent, with a sharp acidity and a good bitterness of cranberries.
