The nose is powerful, aromatic, nicely complex and quite concentrated. It reveals notes of black fruit (plum, blackberry, black cherry) associated with small notes of dried red currant, small touches of raspberries, notes of spices (black pepper, Sichuan pepper, Ceylon tea) as well as slight notes of cocoa / dark chocolate in the background. The palate is fruity, well-structured, elegant and offers tension, juiciness, a fruity frame and a a slight minerality. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of red fruit combined with touches of blackberry, black cherry, a few fine notes of caramel / nougatine as well as a fine note of raspberry vinegar, hints of vanilla and woody touches. Tannins are well conducted.
