Island Cane – XO, Hors d’Âge – Rhum Vieux 

The nose is powerful, finely closed. It reveals notes of cedar, dried quince, dried kumquat and small notes of sugar cane associated with touches of molasse, flowers, leather, clove as well as a hint of vanilla and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, gourmandize, a fine freshness as well as a fine unctuosity. On the palate this Rum expresses notes of molasse, dried kumquat and small notes of sugar cane associated with fine touches of dried citrus, pâtisseries/nougatine as well as hints of vanilla, sugared mild tobacco and chocolate.
